Me vs Michelin: Masa in Osaka, Japan
Me vs Michelin is a column featuring the writer’s experience as well as random musings while dining at a Michelin Star Restaurant. This is not a review.
Not project 8, yes, however eating at Michelin Star-rated restaurants in cities we see has been a fascination. Awuw. Even just one star, it can only feel like Ayala Alabang lives. Let’s try ‘no food blogging, but San Joaquin-style.
Ah, so this is the taste of real soba. Sensin, as a soba from the root words nissin yakisoba i only know soba. My MSG-Trained Taste Buds are still changing with White Chilly Soba, but it’s fine. (Shet, fine is not good, but that’s really fine!)
Director Dan Villegas, who was with me, is a soba fan. And he said, incredibly delicious. ” Sabehhh?
But what I bet is Tempura with Sushi Roll. Sumkinda has a tempura inside the sushi roll (I said, so that’s the call eh). Maybe because I really love sushi, and my tongue in Tempura is familiar. Ah so that’s the tempura sauce – not sweet? In Tokyo Tokyo because my tongue was trained in Tempura Sauce, sarrehhh.
Our owner is super-super friendly. He explained the fudams in the Japanese menu. (No English menu, so that’s a great thing, they say). We said Oishi over and over again! (DELICIOUS!) And Saikou! (Excellent!) To Ate. To his great delight, he gave us orange peel chocolate for dessert, compliments of the chef. The delicacy of the dessert, my tongue is diabetic!
Thank you, Chef! Oishi, Saikou, Kampai! Well, that’s wine, sarrehhh.
No pictures enabled inside, so exterior and road I just took it. Unassuming as well as peaceful street, who would have thought Michelin was here?
Over-all, if you like soba, it’s up to the masses!
